House Donations are Best for Properties with Negligible Worth
It was not a fancy estate house that people would mostly imagine when the word ‘family estate’ is used in conversations. The inheritance that I got was approximately a 500 square meter lot with a really old house that I do not even want to step in, out of fearing for my life – seriously. There was nothing more than I could do with the property except to sell it. Every family I know has their own homes and multiples of them even. When this inheritance gets sold, my intentions were to use the same to pay off other important obligations.
When I turned to a real estate broker, none of them would even want to bother with this crappy property. It was in a very depressed suburban area that is almost forgotten, if I may say. It would take years before it gets sold, and by that time, the property’s value must have depreciated even more. A House Donations non profit organization sounded too good to be true, but a church mate eventually convinced me it was the way to go.
Like Car Donations or even Boat Donations, a house donation can make complete sense, even more so for properties with negligible worth.
